TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
1.0 Definitions:
Transactional Part Sales - A one-time sale where a product is sold on an outright or exchange basis. If sold on exchange, the customer is responsible for returning the core within the timeline identified in the exchange policy. If sold outright, the customer is not obligated to return the core.
Depot Repair Sales – A transaction where the customer intends to have their equipment repaired at Althea’s facility.
Core – A part that is returned as part of an exchange sale that matches the part that was sold but may not be functioning.
Like & Repairable Part – A core that can be repaired by Althea and is the same part as the part that was sold to the customer.
Sourced Parts – A part that is delivered to the customer via drop ship
Loaner – A product that Althea is sending to the customer for use while the customer’s depot repair is being evaluated and repaired.
2.0 Transactional Part Sales:
2.01 Exchange Policy
A like and repairable part must be received at our facility within 15 days of shipment. If a like and repairable exchange part is not received, the customer will be additional billed based on the additional bill policy.
2.02 Additional Billing Policy
Failure to return a like and repairable exchange part within 15 days of the original date of shipment will result in Additional Billing. Additional bill is calculated at 2.5x the original sale price of the part.
Additional Bill amounts and credits for sourced parts will reflect the sourced vendors policy.
2.03 Restock Policy
Customers may restock parts within 15 days of the ship date by contacting Althea’s Customer Success Department. A Customer Success Specialist will create a restock RMA. The Customer is responsible for sending restock parts back to Althea with a valid RMA document inside the shipping container. Parts returned without a valid RMA will be treated as an exchange part.
If the part is returned within 15 days from the ship date, and passes quality inspection, a 75% credit will be issued on the transaction. If the quality inspectionfails, no credit will be issued.
2.04 Warranty Policy
Unless otherwise specified at the time of sale, Althea offers a 180-day warranty on all inventory parts excluding tubes. Warranty information for tube purchases will be given at the time of the sale.
All warranty claims require a valid warranty RMA. Parts returned without a valid RMA will be treated as exchanges.
Warranty claims must be made within 180 days from the ship date.
All warranty parts must be returned within 10 days of the Warranty RMA.
Warranty credits will be issued after part has been received and passes a quality inspection.
Breaking QA seals, removing the serial number or tampering with a part in any way voids all warranties.
In order for warranty credit to be issued, warranty replacement parts must be purchased from Althea.
Warranty replacement parts assume the warranty of the original part purchase.
3.0 Depot Repair Sales
3.01 Non-Loaner Depot Repairs (NLDR):
Depot repairs that do not require a loaner are processed in the order they are received into the Althea facility. Each NLDR requires a valid RMA to be printed and placed into the shipping container prior to being shipped to Althea. Any NLDR received without a valid RMA will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense.
3.02 Loaner Depot Repair (LDR):
Depot repairs that require a loaner are processed in the order the customer’s equipment is received into the Althea facility. Each LDR requires a valid RMA to be printed and placed into the shipping container prior to being shipped to Althea. Any LDR that is received without a valid RMA will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense.
If the depot repair unit does not arrive to our warehouse within 3 business days, (insert date), a non-refundable rental fee of $150 per day will be billed to your account.
3.03 Loaners:
Loaners are offered to the customer during loaner depot repair transactions as they are available. There is no fee for loaner usage provided that, the depot repair is performed by Althea, and the loaner is returned to Althea within 7 days of the repaired unit being shipped to the Customer.
If the depot repair is not performed by Althea, then a $150 per day fee will be charged from the day the loaner is shipped until the day the loaner is received back to the Althea facility.
If the loaner is not received within 7 days of the repaired unit being shipped to the Customer, there will be a $150 per day fee charged for each day after the repaired unit is shipped back to the customer.
4.0 Shipping Containers:
Some parts are shipped in wood crates or pelican cases. The exchanges for these parts should be returned in the same case in which the original part was shipped. Failure to return the original shipping container will result in a charge commiserate to the value of the shipping container.
5.0 Inventory/Sourced Policy
The above policies are applicable for every part shipped out of Althea’s inventory. Policy information for sourced parts will mirror the terms and conditions of the sourced vendor.
6.0 Limitation of Liability
Althea’s total liability for any claims under this policy is limited to the price of the parts(s) which are the basis for such claim. All disputes arising from or relating to this agreement shall be maintained solely in the state of Tennessee.
7.0 Shipment and Risk of Loss
Unless otherwise stated, every part shall be shipped FOB Althea’s facility, with prepaid freight at Customer’s expense. Title and risk of loss shall pass to Customer at the time of shipping.
